How do you lose 30-some-odd boxes of graphic novels? I suppose this is how the first one is supposed to go right? Obstacle after obstacle. Scraping by, only just, barely avoiding splitting your head open on the barricade?
There's only one thing worse than being the awkward bastard at your first comic's release party signing table and that's being the awkward bastard at the release party with no comic to sell. Fortunately the good people at James River Press have promised to save me from such a gristly fate and will ship an emergency batch of graphic novels just in case UPS can't find our boxes in time.
DON'T YOU WORRY: Worst case scenario there will be an extra 100 or so Something Animals to stuff sideways into people's stockings this year.
Could be worse.

You know
You know, it's bittersweet when they post that Something Animal preview link only because the finished artwork is so much better...
You're just going to have to trust me on that for a couple of weeks.

Not one
Not one to sit idle. I am planning my next attack with zeal, one sneaky, PostIt note sketch at a time.
And sure why not; one more Something Animal WIP for the road:

Crowning Shade
I was supposed to tidy up tonight but worked on this guy for a bit instead.
That's the kind of procrastination I can live with.

Secret card business.
A few sketches from an extra top secret collaboration I'm working on:
Excited to discover some new (and old) painting challenges which I'm finally ready to tackle while I wait for Something Animal to be released.
I also have a feeling mermaids are going to rear their ugly head again this week before all is said and done...
